2004 WRC - Sweden - Round 2

For the first time in the entire history of the WRC and the 45 years old history of the Rally Sweden a non-Nordic driver managed to win this event! In altogether 6 starts with the 205 T16 and the 206 WRC, Peugeot took 6 wins, but this time they have to content with 2nd place. The show of the new Peugeot 307 WRC was a good one, Marcus Grönholm won 8 of the 19 stages, which is more than any other driver and manufacturer managed. But Marcus also had two big spins while pushing. And that is exactly what makes Séb Loeb’s victory even the more special.
