Can Öncü, Moto3'teki ilk yarışını kazandı, tarihi başarıya imza attı!

Yarış öncesi beklendiği üzere yağmur vardı ve startın nasıl olacak merak konusuydu.

Yarışa dördüncü sıradan başlayan Can Öncü ilk turda üçüncülüğe çıkmayı başarırken, pek çok sürücü ıslak zeminde kaza yapmaktan kurtulamadılar.

Yarışa pole pozisyonundan başlayan Tony Arbolino başlangıçta iyi bir startla yerini korurken, Marco Bezzecchi altıncı sıradan ikinciliğe çıktı.

Can bitime 22 tur kala pist dışına taşıp, biraz geriye düşse de üçüncülüğünü kordu. Yalnızca iki tur sonra Bezzecchi dördüncü virajda motosikletinin kontrolünü kaybetti ve yerde kaldı.

Bitime 12 tur kala Tony Arbolino, 2.8 saniye farkla ilk sırada gidiyordu ancak dördüncü virajda motosikletinin kontrolünü kaybetti ve yarış dışı kaldı.

Bunun üzerine Can Öncü kariyerinin ilk yarışında liderliğe yükseldi.

Yarışın kalan kısmında kontrolü elinden bırakmayan Can, ilk Moto3 yarışında galibiyete ulaşarak tarihi bir başarıya imza attı.

Can, 15 yıl 115 günle Grand Prix tarihinin en genç yarış kazanan sürücüsü oldu. Bu rekor daha önce 15 yaş 170 günle Donington Park yarışını kazanan Scott Redding'indi.

1991 yılından sonra ilk kez bir sürücü çıktığı ilk yarışı kazanmış oldu.

Bu Türk motosiklet tarihi için de tarihi bir gündü. Çünkü ilk kez bir Türk sürücü MotoGP, Moto2 ve Moto3'ün içinde bulunduğu Grand Prix tarihinde zafere ulaşmış oldu. Ayrıca Can, Kenan Sofuoğlu'ndan sonra Grand Prix tarihinde podyuma çıkan ikinci isim oldu.

Jorge Martin ve John McPhee podyumu tamamlayan sürücüler oldular.
